How Uhuru Helped Museveni trace his Stolen Vehicle all the way to Naivasha

Sometime last year, Ugandan President reported one of his cars was stolen here in Kenya. Something that gave the Kenyan police sleepless night to track down the car that had since changed number.

After 5 months of chase, on thursday evening following a tip off, the dark blue Toyota Kluger believed to have been stolen from Uganda President Yoweri Museveni was recovered near Naivasha.

According to the reports, the president had been piling pressure on police chiefs to find the dark blue Toyota Kluger which was reported missing five months ago.

Museveni had sought Uhuru’s help in tracing the car. However, it was not immediately clear whether it is a personal car or part of the presidential convoy.

The occupants of the car however escaped on foot after officers from the Flying Squad, who trailed them from Murang’a, pulled them over.

The police are now tracing two lorries stolen from Uganda around the same time as the vehicle and sold in Kenya.

Police intelligence indicates that the two lorries could be in Murang’a or neighbouring Thika town.
