Ole Gunnar: Martial one of several Man United players who need reality check

When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho at Man United, he completely transformed the mood of the club.

Solskjaer was getting the best out of the likes of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford who had previously struggled for form under Mourinho.

The former United player also went 13 league games unbeaten and looked like he may even get United into a top-four spot.

However, in recent weeks, United have struggled for both form and results.

They would suffer their first league defeat under OGS vs Arsenal.

They were then dominated by Wolves in the FA Cup quarter-final and then again in the league just a week later.

United also lost both UCL quarter-finals vs Barcelona and struggled to beat West Ham in their last Premier League outing.

The Red Devils will now face a tough trip to Everton this Sunday, a must-win tie if they want to keep their top four hopes alive.

Ahead of the clash, Solskjaer has stated that several of his players need a reality check.

One player Solskjaer singled out was Anthony Martial:

“Is Martial one that needs a reality check?

“I’ve spoken to individuals, Anthony is one of them. Anthony’s got massive talent. He’s signed a new contract and knows the club believes in him.”

As well as Martial, Solskjaer has also reportedly noticed a negative change in Rashford’s behaviour.

Solskjær is said to have detected a change in Rashford’s demeanour on the pitch in recent weeks, noting the youngster’s uncharacteristic tendency to show his displeasure and even sulk at times #mulive [mail)
