Namba nane’s finest Octopizzo comes through with another record breaking smashing new hit and fans seem out of themselves with hype.

The singer and songwriter who is currently signed to Papichulo records announced the scheduled release of the masterpiece titled Zikishika along with a music video on his Instagram a few hours before its release early Friday morning.

Octopizzo never dissappoints and this is just proof so. Barely 3 hours after it’s official release, the video already has over 16K views on Youtube alone.

The song produced by Ghanaian Stallion is nothing short of magnificent. Shot in an upcountry slightly run down setting gives off an aesthetically pleasing feel. Unlike his usual videos which are usually shot in 1st world metropolis, Octopizzo goes back to his roots on this one, showing off the richness of the brown soil, slightly faded green grass under the Sub Saharan sun and mabati housing that Kenyans relate to oh so well.

The video opens with an old couple sitting outside a metallic structure listening to the old school stereo getting excited when Octopizzo’s song comes on and every single Octopizzo fan can relate mostly to that exact part. Octopizzo’s music is revolutionary for the most part, it moves the society and changes people’s thinking, rewiring of brain cells. It hits in the head as hard as it does in the heart, not forgetting the club.

In the very high quality video, the King of Rap doesn’t disappoint on his fashion sense even in the traditional type set up. He is adorned in a very futuristic electric kind of style. He embraces colour blocking and black and white stripes in many of his outfits. His dancers, instrumentalists and set crew are mostly dressed in very modern Afrocentric outfits including Dera’s, Lesso prints and African prints.

His Gucci shoes are highlighted for a few seconds longer by the camera in the 57th second. He is wearing the Rhyton Gucci logo leather sneaker that retail at Ksh. 89,000. Some celebrities who have been spotted rocking the shoes include Quavo of Migos.

The cars are also old school chic. If you watched scooby-doo growing up and you remember their mystery machine, Octopizzo has one just like it in the video with pimped out rims but without the theatrical drawings. He’s also shot around an old Mercedes Benz, bringing out a vivid feel of 1980’s Kenya.

His lyrical mastery is evident in this ‘rhumba instrumentals’ type hit. He uses rhyming and wordplay fluently and cleverly over the beat. It is a prime example of using poetry mixed with afro-beat instrumentals while covering a range of emotions. His lyrics resonated with his fans on another level and it’s evident in their comments.

It is also good to note that there were no ‘Video Vixens’ in this one. He kept it clean and easy to focus on the tight flows he was spitting. Definitely one the kids can enjoy as well.

All in all, Octopizzo remains King in this one with his usual undertone of cheekiness. His listeners seem to agree as these were the reactions of most of them:
