The office of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations has revealed receiving complaint letters from children’s officers in Juja regarding the pathetic environment of children at the Young dream children’s home.
The DCI detectives reportedly on curbing the situation acted swiftly and have rescued 74 children.
The Director of the home, Pauline Wambui has been arrested and charged while the children are reported to be well and in safe hands now.
Further, the DCI has said investigations are underway to establish among other things whether due process was followed in transferring the children from their original abode to the unregistered Children’s home located in Kiambu County.
