Arsenal’s trip to Napoli for the second leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final match comes just three days after they put on a very weak display against Watford in the English Premier League despite winning 1-0. Unai Emery will surely be forced into some changes against the Italian giants. Here’s how he is likely to line up:
Defence
Petr Cech has been the Europa League goalkeeper and looks set to start despite his poor distribution skills. Ahead of him Sokratis and Koscielny will start flanked by the very impressive Maitland Niles on the right and the speedy Kolasinac on the left.
Midfield
Lucas Torreira’s impressive performance against the Italians at the Emirates makes him an obvious pick in midfield While Granit Xhaka’s is a definite starter whenever fit. The two compliment each other and are the best midfield pair at Unai Emery’s disposal.
Attack
With two defensive midfielders, the attack can include on of Mesut Ozil or Aaron Ramsey and I think Mesut Ozil will get the nod due to Aaron Ramsey’s involvement in the Watford match. On the right flank, Henrik Mikhitaryan should start despite having a horrible match against Watford while Nigerian International Alex Iwobi starts on the left.
Alex Lacazette will start as the lone striker especially whenyou consider that Aubameyang played the full 90against Watford while Lacazette didi no eature at all.
Arsenal line up: 4-2-3-1 Cech, Nile, Kolasinac, Koscielny, Sokratis,Torreira,Xhaka, Ozil, Mikhitaryan,Iwobi, Lacazette.
