United Boss Gives Heartwarming Response to ‘Luck’ Gift From Kenyan Fans

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer warmly received a special gift from United fans in Kenya that was presented to him by a journalist during an interview.

Though the faces or names of the Kenyan fans remain unknown, the person who gave Solskjaer the present – a Maasai rungu –, said the club’s rooters in Kenya hoped the gift would bring the manager and the club good luck.

But the manager was reluctant to care about that.

The gift giver, believed to be a journalist, went ahead to ask Solskjaer, who was addressing the press after their match against Barcelona, to respond to the gesture by Kenyan fans.

At the sight of that, the baby-faced manager welcomed the gift with open arm and was sorry for the disappointment of losing to Barcelona.

“[Is there] anything you would like to say to your Kenyan fans? There are a lot of them…,” asked the supposed journalist.

“Yeah. There are a lot of [Manchester United] fans all over the world. Of course, we disappointed tonight. We did not really manage to put out a [strong] team out there… [We, however, hope to improve in the coming days],” said Solskjaer.

Manchester United is now bundled out of the UEFA competition and would be looking forward for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
