Out of the woods; Tiger Woods wins grandmasters and the world celebrates

Tiger Woods ha passed through hell for the past decade and coming from all that life to claim the grand masters is without a doubt one of the world’s come back.

He has had struggles with his marriage life where he lost his wife in divorce after he was caught cheating on her, but he has overcome afte11 years to win one of the greatest golf tournaments and golf enthusiasts cannot thank him enough.

Tiger Woods winning The Masters has been labelled as the greatest comeback of all-time by fellow sportsmen around the world.

The eyes of the world were watching as Woods claimed his fifth Green Jacket and won his first Major tournament in 11 years on a dramatic afternoon at Augusta.

Fans were stunned by what they were seeing as Woods came from behind to cap off a remarkable journey which has seen him recover from four back surgeries and a prolonged break from golf.

He received praise from around social media – with fellow athletes from a range of sports particularly impressed by what he has achieved to get back to the top of his profession.

He’s done it,” England legend Gary Lineker said: “He’s only gone and won it. There’s something in my eye. To use a phrase once used before about Tiger Woods “Oh my goodness…Wow…In your life have you seen anything like that?”

”West Ham and England midfielder Declan Rice declared: “This has to be the biggest comeback in sport? What a sportsman! Ridiculous!” whilst Watford star Will Hughes declared it “one of the best sporting comebacks I’ve seen”.

NFL superstar Tom Brady, a relative newbie to Twitter, wrote: “Congrats Tiger! What a performance…”

He was branded the GOAT (Greatest of All-Time) by England cricket Sam Billings, who also questioned if it was the “best sporting comeback of all time” whilst former Australia captain Michael Clarke wrote: “Never say never…greatness” alongside a picture of Woods.

England ace Harry Kane sent his congratulations immediately after his emotional win, with former Newcastle striker Mick Quinn saying there was “no other word than unbelievable”.
