Among William Ruto’s multi-million property, Weston Hotel will always stand out. And this is not because of the fact that it is a five-star hotel near a major airport.
Weston, stands on grabbed land. It is an embodiment of impunity associated with Ruto’s appetite for land.
But according to COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli, the hotel is mistreating its employees.
Atwoli revealed that all the employees at the luxurious hotel have been employed on casual basis and the highest staff earns less than twenty thousand shillings.
‘Angalia hoteli yake. Yeye (Ruto) ameandika wafanyikazi wote kama casuals. Mfanyikazi wa juu zaidi anapata elfu ishirini.’ Atwoli revealed during a meeting in Lamu.
According to Atwoli, this is one of the reasons why Ruto should never become President.
The trade unionist is also not happy with Ruto’s allegations that Raila looked him four times before the handshake.
On Tuesday, the Deputy President said that he was approached by Raila before the former Prime Minister approached the President. Raila’s camp has refuted these claims.
And now Atwoli believes that Ruto has disrespected his elders. He said that He would have been Ruto’s dad if he met his mother early.
