From the horrific kidnap of Cuban doctors in Mandera to wife being stabbed 17 times, Kenyans were even further outraged by Jalang’o’s comments on female murder rampancy.

On the other hand tycoon Kobia has been served a big blow.

Suspected Somali Al-Shabaab jihadis kidnapped two Cuban doctors Friday and killed their police protection officer in northeastern Kenya, police said.

Police Spokesman Charles Owino said the two doctors and their guard were on the way to work in the town of Mandera when they were attacked.

They were attacked when two vehicles blocked their way and abducted them and drove to Somalia,” Owino told a news conference soon after the incident

Nyeri woman survives after being stabbed 17 times by husband

A 30-year-old woman is receiving life-saving treatment at the Karatina sub-county hospital after she was allegedly stabbed by her husband 17 times during a domestic quarrel.

Peninah Wangechi, a mother of three was stabbed on Tuesday night in a scuffle with her husband Samuel Ndirangu before he stabbed her 17 times inflicting injuries on her back, chest and face.

Speaking from the hospital bed, Wangechi claimed that their marriage has been a rocky one exacerbated by alleged violence from Ndirangu whom she said physically abuses her.

Controversial businessman Paul Kobia is among the recent victims of the new banking regulatory rules having Barclays Bank close his accounts.

In a letter addressed to Kobia, Barclays Bank informed the city businessman that the lender had cut ties with him from January 14, 2019.

According to Mr. Kobia, the regulations are intended to hinder investment from abroad and violate the privacy of the clients.

In his suit, Kobia sued the CBK and Attorney General Paul Kihara claiming that Barclays’ decision was made following new rules.

JALANG’O RAGE

Comedian Jalang’o has been bashed by Kenyans online for his post on social media that has been judged to justify the brutal murder of Moi University student Ivy Wangechi.

Ivy was killed by Naftali Njahi Kinuthia at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) on Tuesday.

Friends said Mr. Kinuthia had been obsessed with Ivy. Detectives said he had sent money several times to Ivy, including money for her birthday party.

In a lengthy post on Instagram on Thursday, Jalang’o warned young girls not to accept money and gifts from men without thinking of possible consequences.
