Former Powerful US president Barack Obama has celebrated the life of American rapper, Nipsey Hustle
The dead of Nipsey Hustle shocked the hip-hop world and the music industry.
Hussle was hit multiple times, including shots to the head according to the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office.
The rapper was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died. A second gunshot victim was taken to a hospital and was listed in stable condition, and a third man was wounded but refused medical attention, police said.
Hussle acknowledged his affiliation with the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips, one of Los Angeles’ biggest and most notorious street gangs, in a 2010 interview with Complex magazine, but he was also working with authorities to help end gang violence.
Celebrities and leaders have come together to mourn the hero who tried to change his hood.
His counterpart Meek Mill has been showing concern to the family and has been pushing for support to the rapper.
Nipsey had appeared on Meek Mill video featuring Drake called Going bad.
Former US President extended his condolences to the family in this trying times.
Obama, being a lover of hip-hop music, he celebrates the fallen hero in a big way.
“I’d never met Nipsey, but I’d heard some of his music through my daughters, and after his passing, I had a chance to learn about his transformation and community work,” read Obama’s letter in part.
Barack also acknowledged Nipsey’s determination in working on Eritrean-American relations.
