Akothee organizes charity concert to raise funds for drought victims

Kenyan Female Artist Akothee has organized a grand concert with the intention to raise funds for drought victims amid the crisis.

Akothee said that her plan is to make sure that the areas experiencing drought will have long term solutions implemented to avoid recurring incidents.

The concert is set to go down on 14th April 2019 and Akothee will be performing alongside other to Kenya artists.

Despite having the main objective as charity, this concert is not just a fundraising event but will also serve Kenyans with blissful entertainment.

The artists who will grace the stage include Nameless, Khaligraph Jones, Arrow Bwoy, Bahati, Victoria Kimani among others.

Akothee says that through this concert, she hopes that Kenyans will turn up in large numbers to support her course which will benefit the lives of many.

Weeks ago, Akothee mobilized Kenyans to contribute towards the relief food to support Turkana residents.

The Singer says that she did not make this move simply because it was trending but because of the wisdom within her and the belief that she was in a position to do something about the crisis.

Akothee says that through the contributions received she designed long term plans that are yet to be implemented.

This includes fixing of boreholes and water tanks and also setting up medical camps equipped with practitioners that will provide free services to the residents.
