Mike Sonko’s Announcement That Left Nairobians Happy

Kind-hearted Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has left many Kenyans happy, when he ordered the release of all patients detained in county health facilities over unpaid bills.

The self- proclaimed philanthropist directed Health Services executive Mohammed Dagane to follow up the order and ensure it is immediately effective and all the patients who are unable to clear their medical bills are released unconditionally.

Governor Sonko asked Mohammed Dagane to work together with Finance colleague Winfred Kathangu to device mechanisms on how to cover the costs of the set free patients which amounts to 1 Million

Mike Broke the good news to Nairobians during Good Deeds Day Celebrations On Sunday 7, which was held in City Hall Way. The Governor said that some patients have already been released from mama lucy and mbagathi hospital, while Plan to release the more is underway.

“As a good gesture, I’m directing my CECs of Health and Finance to devise ways of covering the costs of patients held at our medical facilities due to lack of fees. I’m therefore ordering the immediate and unconditional discharge of the patients at Mbagathi and at Mama Lucy Hospitals,” said Sonko.
