Former Kakamega Senator Dr. Boni Khalwale has accused the Central Organization of Trade Union (COTU) boss Francis Atwoli, ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna and ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale for causing ODM to loose in the recently concluded Ugenya by-election.
According to Khalwale, the three leaders humiliated Raila’s ODM Party after they failed to rally the Luhya community to turn out in large numbers and vote for their candidate Chris Karan.
“What we don’t understand is why your Baluhyia political giants (Atwoli/Eliud Sifuna/Philip Etale) didn’t ask their kinsmen to turnout and vote for the ODM party,” Khalwale said through his Twitter account.
Khalwale adviced the former PM and ODM Party to now move on and focus on helping the people saying that elections always have their share of surprise diets.
“Gentlemen, please don’t take these matters to the heart. Mambo ya elections saa zingine hayaeleweki” he said.
