An alleged royal source was quoted in today’s Mail on Sunday making the explosive intervention. The insider claimed the focus on Meghan and Harry’s baby would not last because the Cambridge children will “grow up and become the core Royal Family”.
The source also said it is “impossible” to compare Meghan and Kate because the Duchess of Cambridge is married to the future King. MEGHAN MARKLE and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge cannot be compared and public focus on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not last, a royal insider has sensationally claimed.
They told the Mail on Sunday: “It is impossible to compare to the Duchess of Cambridge because she is married to the future King.
“While the focus is very much on Harry and Meghan at the moment, this is not going to last particularly as the Cambridge children grow up and become the core Royal Family.”
The remarks come amid reports Meghan is planning on “snubbing” the Queen’s “highly-regarded” doctors when she gives birth
One source said: “Meghan said she doesn’t want the men in suits.“She was adamant that she wanted her own people. “It did leave a few of us a little baffled.”
Another said: “It is slightly surprising.
“These people (the Queen’s doctors) are the best of the best and when it comes down to it, their role would actually be very limited in the birth itself, assuming all goes to plan.”
Sources close to the Duchess were quick to underscore the “personal” nature of her decision, with one insider saying: “Above all, this is her birth, her baby, and she must do whatever feels right for her.
“How could anyone judge her for that?”
Meghan and Harry recently moved to Frogmore, the Queen’s 33-acre estate in the grounds of Windsor’s Home Park.
They will live there in a 10-bedroom bolthole, Frogmore Cottage, which has been undergoing extensive renovation work ahead of their arrival.
The setting of Frogmore holds a special place in Meghan and Harry’s hearts because it is where they held their wedding reception on the recommendation of the Queen.
Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, is reportedly flying over to the UK from Los Angeles to be on-hand when Meghan gives birth to her royal tot.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: “Doria should be here for the birth and will be staying.“But then she has to get back to her dogs and work.”
