Why Alfred Mutua believes he is fit for the presidential seat in 2022

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has in many instances expressed his intention to take the president seat in 2022.

The Governor believes that he is fit to lead the nation and is confident that he will take over from President Kenyatta.

Alfred Mutua says that Kenyans are tired and what they need is a president who they trust, he is confident that this is him.

The Machakos Governor today shared his thought in regard to President Kenyatta’s speech in parliament.

Mutua noted that all the great plans that President Uhuru has for Kenya, will be undermined if the spirit of goodwill by Kenyans is broken.

He also added that unless someone is arrested and charged within the next two days, all he has said in his State of the Nation speech will lose it’s value.

On matters corruption, Mutua questions why he only mentioned several Cabinet Secretaries and Governors as being under investigation.

“What about other elected leaders such as Senators, MPs, MCAs and public servants who we all know receive bribes and participate in corruption?” he asked

He however acknowledged that his speech was unifying and showed the importance of us as a people pulling together.

His concern is that even as we unite, people are tired of being broke and Kenyans need money in their pockets.

“If 60% of what the President has spoken of in terms devolution, manufacturing and social-economic interventions is carried out, Kenya will rise up to even higher levels than the projected 6.1% economic growth” he said

From President Kenyatta’s speech, Mutua says that people can clearly see the plan that the President has for transforming Kenya.

He added that the head of state is setting a good foundation so that he can take over in 2022.
