Residents of Kilifi County have resorted to give their leaders a hard time for proposing the sacking of casual workers.

Mr Mwayaa successfully moved a county assembly Motion to sack more than 1,500 casual workers.
The Kayafungo ward rep said that he had been forced to change vehicles as the youths continued to hunt him down.
“I had attended a function at the governor’s office when a group of youths confronted me ready to beat me up. I was rescued by the governor’s security officers, who whisked me to my car before I sped off,” said Mwayaa.
The MCA said that it is not the casual workers who ere attacking him, rather their relatives mobilised to plot the attacks. He also added that he suspects another MCA is behind it.
“Relatives of those who were illegally employed have teamed up with MCAs who did not support the Motion to frustrate us. I feel Another MCA who was not present when the Motion was debated is also behind our attacks,” said Mwayaa.
MCA Sammy Ndago of Shimo la Tewa was also attacked last week by the same youths at the county government offices for supporting the Motion.
