Kenyans anxious over Uhuru’s State of the Nation Address

President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to deliver the State of the Nation Address (SoNA) during a joint sitting of the two Houses of Parliament.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is on Thursday expected to focus on the Jubilee Coalition’s fulfilment of its manifesto.

Kenyans want to see whether he shows enough grit and determination to carry them through and his other plans.

During the SONA, the President will address the nation as both the Head of State and Head of Government. He will present a plan to address Kenya’s needs for the year ahead.

There has been much speculation about Cabinet changes and so on but it is important to give a broader and more holistic picture of President Kenyatta’s scorecard and what still needs to be done.

President Kenyatta is also expected to dwell on issues of national security and devolution, some of the matters that have dominated debate over the last four years because of terrorism and the advent of devolution.

The Head of State is also understood to be keen to address public concerns on access to credit, public debt as well as corruption and the wage bill.

What should Uhuru address?
