The introduction of Huduma Number by president Uhuru Kenyatta has incited the spiritual debate on the famous biblical 666.

Churches urged Members to distance themselves from registration a move that angered the head of state president Uhuru Kenyatta.

Uhuru said that the number isnt demonic but it is meant to simply the mode of service delivery.

Decades ago,the introduction of KRA pin experienced the same rejection as the Huduma Number as it was being associated with demonic.

Rumour mills had it that the KRA PIN would be the one on Kenyans’ foreheads for easy identification by the 666 regime. The Book of Revelations added that “no man might buy or sell, save he that has the mark, or the name of the beast or the number of his name…whose number is six hundred three score and six.”

Without the PIN, there would no transactions. Everyone had to pledge loyalty to 666 to get the PIN. Kenyans were scared stiff of the PIN, which is a legal requirement.

Ok,with the above explanation let us dwell now on the famous 666.

Turns out, what you see in the The Book of Revelation where the writer refers to 666 in an apocalyptic vision isn’t entirely what you get.

Put simply, 666 is being used as a code, and not a particularly subtle one, if you were alive and literate at the time of the New Testament.

This text was originally written in ancient Greek, where numbers are written as letters, as they are in Hebrew – the other main language of the original Biblical texts.

For small numbers, the first letters of the Greek alphabet, alpha, beta, gamma, represent 1, 2, and 3.

Then like in Roman numerals, when you want to form big numbers like 100, 1,000, 1,000,000, they’re represented by their own special combination of letters.

So what does the number 666 mean when you translate it out using the Greek alphabet?

Many historians have been looking for references of this in the Biblical text, which was not written in a vaccuum, and was very much a product of its time.
