Congratulations! England star latest dad in town as he and childhood fiancée secretly welcome baby daughter

England and Leicester City ace Harry Maguire has welcomed a baby daughter with childhood heart-throb Fern Hawkins.

The 26-year-old announced the arrival of his first child, Lillie Saint Maguire, on Wednesday morning, after keeping the pregnancy completely under wraps.

Fern said their newborn had ‘stolen their hearts’ as she shared the first picture of their ‘precious angel’ holding both parents’ hands in a heartwarming Instagram shot.

The couple has managed to keep the pregnancy a secret, despite keeping up a strong social media presence with a combined audience of 500k followers.

Introducing the newborn, Fern teased on Instagram: ‘[Here’s] a little project I have been working on for the past 9 months’.

Harry and Fern got engaged on last February during a romantic getaway to Paris, shortly before the FIFA 2018 championship, in which Harry made his World Cup debut.

Fern hinted at their baby last December when she said 2018 had ended ‘better than I could have ever imagined’ and signalled the start of ‘a new chapter’.

In a round-up of the year, Fern wrote: ‘A year filled with the highest of the highs, but also the lowest of the lows.

‘Harry making me his Fiancé, & then playing for his country in the World Cup really has made 2018 so special for us.

‘I thank my lucky stars every single day to have you in my life @harrymaguire93.

Together, we can get through anything. ‘2018 has ended better than I could have ever imagined. Here’s to 2019 – the start of a new exciting chapter.’

They have been dating since their late teens, first getting together back in 2011 and already look after pet dog Simba together.

Originally from Sheffield and from a family of footballers, Maguire started his career at Sheffield United but left in 2014.

Last summer was a career highlight for the center back, who was called up to play on England’s World Cup squad.

He joined Leicester City Football Club from Hull City in June 2017 on a five-year contract saying it was the club he ‘always wanted to join’.
