President Uhuru Kenyatta will on Tuesday launch the Huduma Namba registration in Mwala, Machakos county.
This is after the High Court allowed registration with the NIIMS also known as Huduma Namba, beginning Tuesday as had been earlier planned.
However, the programme has been barred from taking DNA data and GPS coordinates as part of the NIIMS data, pending determination of the case challenging the exercise
Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has welcomed Kenyans from all parts of the country for the drive also known the National Integrated Identity Management System.
“By President Uhuru Kenyatta choosing Machakos county for the national launch of the registration is great respect to us. We invite guests from all over the country to be part of the historical event,” the governor said on Monday.
