Gospel musician Jabidii outshines his fellow artists in Africa Gospel Awards

As the Gospel Music Industry in Kenya is facing challenges, there are musicians who are still pushing hard and walking in higher lanes. Gospel musician, ‘Vimbada’ hitmaker, Jabidii is all smiling after he won an award in Ghana.

He emerged the winner at the 2019 Africa Gospel Awards Festival (AGAFEST), held in Ghana, after being crowned African Reggae/Dancehall artist of the year.

He flopped other big wigs he had been paired with, to bring home the prestigious Award. Kenya’s Moji Short Baba, Guardian Angel, Righteousman (Nigeria) Mista Push (Nigeria) Akesse Brempong (Ghana), Nat Abbey (Ghana) were among stars competing with Jabidii in the Dancehall category.

The news about Jabidii’s win was shared on social media by Citizen TV’s Timeless Noel who had accompanied him to Ghana to collect the Award; “African Reggae/ Dancehall Artist of the year goes to………… JABIDII 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪 @jabidii_music. TEAM KENYA WE DID IT” wrote Timeless Noel.

Upon receiving the award Jabidii wrote; “Thank you fam for always supporting my ministry. #africagospelaward #africadancehallartist”.The festival took place at the Fantasy Dome in Accra, Ghana, under the theme ‘Africa Under One God’ seeking to honour work by gospel acts across the continent.
