Former Embu MCA Teresiah Njeri and her daughter Juliet Waithera are among hose arrested in connection to a kidnap.
The two alongside a mason, Bernard Kariithi were persued by police, leading to the shooting of Njeri’s daughter and the mason.
While they nurse the gun shot injuries at Kimbimbi Sub-County Hospital, the former MCA is in police custody.
Residents told the press that the alleged kidnap victim who hails from Meru County was cornered by the public on Friday for allegedly stealing a boda boda.
He was beaten before Njeri and her accomplices went to his rescue.They housed him at Njeri’s home and offered first aid.
The victim’s father however reported to Makutano Police Station that his son had been kidnapped.
Njeri sent her daughter and two young men to receive him. When they saw the police, they reportedly panicked and fled and in the process police shot at them.
