In between sobs, she went on to disclose that they lived in Satellite estate in Nairobi and that she had been struggling to secure treatment for her ailing sister as she wasn’t employed.

She stated that she worked as a casual house cleaner and had three children dependent on her as well, thus explaining her inability to raise the funds needed to secure treatment for her sister.

Mimi kazi yangu ni kibarua ya kufua nguo, hao madaktari nawafulia nguo ndo wanakataa kunitibia mgonjwa, loosely translating to “My only source of income is washing clothes, the very doctors I usually wash clothes for are the same ones refusing to treat my sister,” she narrated in between sobs.

In the video, the ailing sister who was reportedly diagnosed with cervical cancer can be seen struggling to find her footing.

Netizens were incensed and took to various social media platforms to air their opinions as well as notify various authorities of the lady’s predicament.

“What will befall this nation. Only God knows. This level of disregard for human life is worse than slavery. Crime against humanity,” stated one concerned Kenyan.

Several well-wishers also offered to contribute to her treatment.

“This is sad, I have an extra Ksh 2000. How can I reach her? Been there and its the lowest of the lows,” a concerned citizen revealed.

None of the relevant authorities had responded to the harrowing story by the time of publishing.
