Vocal and bold ‘mama taa’ Nairobi women representative Esther Passaris has been appointed the new food and safety ambassador by the Fresh Produce Consortium of Kenya.
In her new role as a champion for safer food in the domestic market and local eateries, Passaris will actively participate in the development and implementation of food standards for fresh produce and address health concerns around food choice and consumption.
Kenyans have however questioned whether she should be managing two positions or focus on her parliamentary goals that she was elected for.
