Elgeyo Marakwet senator Murkomen Kipchumba has tackled minority leader James Orengo over the missing money in Siaya county following the audit report that has left Makueni county under Kivutha Kibwana shining with a clean record for the 1st time since devolution.
“Senator Orengo James and I have serious work to do in among others Siaya County. I really hope my colleague has never done legal work for his county or acted for Governor Rasanga,” he tweeted.
This was not received well by Kenyans who have reminded him of the famous Arror and Kimwarer dams project that is still under investigations despite Murkomen insisting that the allegations are a political move using false details
Nyanza county chiefs have been put in a spot over questionable spending since the new administrations took over in 2017.
New reports by Auditor General Edward Ouko have revealed several discrepancies in financial management, including payment of millions of taxpayers’ money to dubious contractors.
Some of the payments reportedly made by the counties during the period under review were also not supported by any documentary evidence.
