Boinnet lauds the successful partnership between Kenya police-Strathmore University

Inspector General Joseph Boinnet  has lauded the partnership between Kenya police and Strathmore University terming it as successful.

This comes after he visited police officers studying at the university yesterday.

A move that was initiated following the partnership between Strathmore University and the National Police Service that started in 2015.

The IG noted that this partnership has started bearing fruits which is reflected in the results presented to him by the University administration where two officers attained First Class Honors.

He further thanked the University for the scholarships that goes towards furthering the National Police Service’s endeavor to build capacity & train staff to the highest possible standards of competence & Integrity.

According to the agreement signed, Strathmore University committed to offering 12 scholarships annually to the National Police Service (NPS) officers to pursue undergraduate courses at the institution. 

The officers who undertake the four-year undergraduate course go through  a competitive and rigorous selection process as per the university’s regulations.

The main goal of this partnership is to ensure that the police are equipped with more skills and also improve on their service delivery to the people.
