Kenya’s  High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Manoah Esipisu, was on Tuesday formally received by Queen Elizabeth II in London.

According to a tweet posted by the Royal Family on Tuesday, Mr. Esipisu will have regular one-on-one meetings with the Queen throughout her working week.

“The Queen has a very personal relationship with Kenya. In 1952, as Princess Elizabeth, Her Majesty visited Kenya at the start of a Commonwealth tour on behalf of her father, King George VI,” read the tweet.

It was at Sagana Lodge, Kiganjo, that she learnt of her accession to the throne in 1952.

The former State House Spokesman was nominated as Kenya’s envoy to the U.K by President Uhuru Kenyatta on July 24, 2018.

Mr. Esipisu, High Commissioner to the UK presented his credentials to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.
