Bloody morning. How 13 passengers perished in Matuu accident

Thirteen people died while others sustained serious injuries on Wednesday when a bus heading to Nairobi was involved in an accident in Matuu, Machakos County.

The bus rammed into a stationary lorry killing thirteen passengers on the spot, report indicates.

The passengers that were seriously injured were rushed to the Matuu level four hospital.

The bus was coming from Mandera.

The police have since responded to the accident by arriving at the accident scene.

Yatta police commander Joseph Njoroge confirmed that among the dead are 10 men, two women, and a child.

The continued accidents in the roads have championed for being alert on the roads and every road user being responsible.

Last week, 11 people died in Kikopey Gilgil died when the PSV rammed into a trail and later the next day in the same Nakuru-Nairobi highway three lives were claimed by death.
