Tottenham’s brand new stadium (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium) in north London opened at the weekend and and one hilarious observation has sent a number of Arsenal supporters talking.
After months of delays, Tottenham Hotspur finally staged a fixture in their new 62,062-seater stadium as the first of two test events took place with the U18’s side beating Southampton.
Another fixture is scheduled for this Saturday as a Spurs legends side will face Inter Forever and then the Premier League grand opening will come against Crystal Palace on April 3.
The Gunners will have to wait until next season to play at the redeveloped White Hart Lane, but there were some fans that kept a close eye on events on Sunday afternoon.
In fact one supporter took to Twitter and spotted a similarity between the two stadiums and suggested that Spurs took some inspiration from how the clock end at the Emirates Stadium has been designed.
He posted a picture of the stadiums side by side and commented on the similarity with an hilarious message: “When you see your neighbour’s driveway and you ask the builders to do the same.”
