Chelsea fans can once again have a smile on their faces after the reports that Chelsea have been denied the chance to appeal and therefore will not sell players this summer.
Since Zinedine Zidane took charge of Real Madrid for a second time, rumours have been circulating linking Chelsea’s Eden Hazard with a move to the Bernabeu.
Hazard is having his best ever season in a Chelsea shirt scoring 13 and assisting 11 in 29 Premier League appearances.
Zidane is also looking to rebuild Madrid after such a disappointing 2018/19 campaign that saw them crash out of the Champions League vs Ajax.
Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante has even been linked with a summer move to Real Madrid.
However, Chelsea fans need not worry about losing any player this summer.
This is because, according to Andreas Christensen, Chelsea players have been told that the Blues want to keep every player they have this summer.
The reason for this is because Chelsea can’t appeal their transfer ban and will not be allowed to buy anyone for two windows.
Speaking about the transfer situation while on international duty with Denmark, Christensen stated:
“The messages we’ve got are that Chelsea can’t appeal the case and therefore want to keep all the players.
“The situation I have ended up in has been very difficult to accept.”As quoted by the Evening Standard.
While this news will likely please most Chelsea fans, it isn’t so great for the likes of Christensen.
The 22-year-old has very much become a fringe player at Chelsea since Maurizio Sarri took charge.
Christensen had made just three Premier League appearances this campaign.
