David Alaba has set off alarm bells at Arsenal, after revealing his surprising admiration for the club as a little boy!
Alaba graduated from Bayern Munich’s academy and, bar a brief loan spell at TSG Hoffenheim, has been at the club all his career. Having established himself as a regular in the Bavarian club’s starting XI back in 2011, it appears as though he has been around forever.
It is easy to forget that he is still only 26 years old and is entering the prime years of his career.
Over the years, he has established himself as one of the best full backs of the modern game with Bayern.
While there may not be an inclination or rush to leave his comfort zone, he admits that the prospect of a new challenge is very plausible.
During the interview, Alaba also made a rather surprising admission that will get tongues in North London wagging. The Austrian admitted that he was an Arsenal fan growing up, and in some respects, still is.
