When Alex Ferguson left Manchester United and gifted the job to David Moyes. The former Everton boss desperately needed a world class midfielder in his team.

Moyes revealed that Toni Kroos agreed to join Manchester United but the move collapsed and the German midfielder left Bayern Munich in 2014 to move to Real Madrid instead (The Independent).

Now, as per an exclusive report covered by The Sun, Man Utd can finally agree £50million signing of Kroos, who is looking to reignite his career after a torrid on-going campaign with the Los Blancos.

The 29-year-old World Cup winning star is one of the most versatile and complete midfielders in the world. He can effectively play as a deep lying playmaker, as a creative central midfielder and as a top attacking midfielder as well.

Kroos is one of the best passers of the ball and luring him for just £50million would be a massive coup for the Red Devils. With Pogba and Kroos, we might have the best midfield in the world.

This season, like the entire Real Madrid team, Kroos has been out of form. So far, he has only managed to score 1 goal in 36 appearances in all competitions.

Still, he is a world class midfielder, who has helped Real Madrid dominate many midfield battles. Apart from Copa Del Rey, Kroos has won every major title with the Spanish giants and now it is time for a new challenge.

I believe we can get him but it must be remembered that the Kaiser has won four Champions League titles (three in the last three seasons and one in 2013 with Bayern), so, it is virtually impossible that he will move to Old Trafford if United do not qualify for the next season’s CL.

At the moment, with eight games to go, we are two points behind Arsenal, who occupy the final CL qualification spot. On the other hand, in all fairness, we need more than a miracle to beat Barca to progress in the Europe’s elite competition.
