Ruto Speaking From Both Sides of the Mouth Regarding Hunger

After facing millions of Kenyans and claiming that no was affected by the recent drought, Deputy president is now seeking to redeem himself after receiving a lot of backlash from Kenyans. Many people found the DP’s utterances hurtful with no form of empathy to the drought affected communities.

Earlier today, the DP accompanied by Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa spearheaded   the flagging off of food distribution to Mandera County. The exercise will ensure people of the area get water and food to help salvage the situation.

The DP had earlier said that the country was not experiencing food shortage and that the only problem was the distribution of food in the affected areas. He even went ahead and cautioned Kenyans from insinuating that some residents of Baringo had county died as a result of malnutrition. This was contrary to reports which confirmed that 11 people had died as a result of hunger related causes.

Donation to the affected counties is ongoing and different organizations across the country have come out to distribute food to the affected areas.
