Waititu on run after hauling “stones” to Kiambu politicians

Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu close allies have defended the governor over misappropriation of fund as some some MCAs claims through dubious programs.

On Thursday,the MCAs spent the better part of afternoon fighting as they accuse Waititu of trying to push for a motion to sensitize the sh 356 million used to finance Kaa Sober operations.

The MCAs opposing the motion states that there was a lot of irregularities as the money can’t be accounted for and the huge chunk was misused.

“Between July and December 2018, the Kiambu County government spent over Sh356 million to finance operations of the controversial rehabilitation programme by Governor Ferdinand Waititu dubbed “Kaa sober”. MCA stated.

For the bill,the governor has maintained his silent waiting for the next action the MCAs are plotting.

Governor Waititu has accused some politician within the county of being paid to fight him politically.

The programme was taking up Sh 2 million per day without the approval of the county assembly.

leaders in the county among them Senator Kimani Wamatangi, nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura, Woman Rep Gathoni wa Muchomba, MP Moses Kuria (Gatundu South) and his Thika counterpart Patrick Wainaina, were questioning the program and demanding its termination.

The governor was forced to terminate the program after public outcry.
