€90m-rated United star Paul Pogba has dropped his ambitions of leaving United any soon after reports that he has had several meetings with the Coach Solskjaer at Carrington over the past few days.
The Red Devil star had been thinking about an exit in the summer window after struggling for form under Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho.
But the arrival of Norwegian tactician sparked a sudden rejuvenation in Paul, and the Frenchman is now Manchester United’s stand-out performer under Ole and it seems Pogba is only in United because of Solskaer.
One English publication state Solskjaer and Pogba have sat down numerous times over the last few weeks for personal chats at Carrington, in which the player reaffirmed his commitment to the club.
Paul has two years left on his current contract and has abandoned the possibility of forcing his way out of the side at the end of the campaign.
Barcelona were interested in landing Pogba and were reportedly offered the opportunity to land the 25-year-old star by super agent Mino Raiola.
Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain would come knocking for him were French star to become available in the summer market, but that option is now off the table.
The club will hold off on offering Paul a fresh long-term deal as the board have the option to extend his current deal by another one year.
Solskjaer will be delighted with his decision after helping World Cup winner rediscover his best form in the latest months.
He has netted eight times and registered six assists in the EPL since Solskjaer took over last year, as Manchester United has risen up the table.
