Well, an unidentified man in Bomet probably didn’t heed that saying!
He was arrested by the police on Friday for allegedly strangling his three defensless children to death.
Reports indicated that the bewildering crime came soon after the suspect was involved in what was described as one of the many heated quarrels with his wife.
The children who succumbed to an untimely death were reportedly aged five, eight and twelve.
Elijah Mutai Lelaitich – the area sub-chief, disclosed to Citizen Digital that investigations into the matter had commenced and that the mother of the late children was been sought as a person of interest in the case.
According to reports from neighbours, the couple would quarrel frequently, only this time things went out of control and in anger, the man decided to murder his young children!
The latest incident follows a long list of inexplicable cases in which parents have ended up as the main suspects in the murder of their own children.
Recently, a man was arrested in Shauri Moyo over the death of his two daughters.
The suspect, identified as Joseph Simiyu, is alleged to have killed his two daughters aged 3 and 10 by poisoning them and later stabbing them in their one-roomed house.
