Man Utd boost as Varane ‘tells Real mates he wants to leave’

Raphael Varane has reportedly told some of his Real Madrid team-mates that he wants to leave the club in a potentially huge transfer boost to Manchester United.

The Red Devils have long been interested in Varane, who already has quite the fan in Virgil van Dijk.

Earlier this week, L’Equipe reported that the 25-year-old feels he might have ‘arrived at the end of a cycle’ and could look for a new challenge elsewhere.

The French newspaper references Varane’s ‘desire to put oneself in danger’ – or to get out of his Madrid comfort zone.

And now Marca report that the 25-year-old has told players close to him in the Real Madrid dressing room that he would like to leave in the summer.

However, the report adds that the returning Zinedine Zidane wants to keep Varane at the Bernabeu but there would be little he could do to stop the France international if his mind is made up.
