Emotional Message From Man To Fiancee Before Committing Suicide

Perhaps it is not the first time you are reading news about someone leaving a suicide note and proceeding to commit suicide. Social media has been an avenue for people to pour frustrations and defeat. But how do we react on suicide notes left on social media platforms? How did you react to the last suicide suggesting post you came across on social media?

were you judgmental? did you take time to reflect on the things that might lead one into committing suicide? No one would run to death unless they have hit a dead end! So when you are commenting on suicidal posts try and be fair. Work on saving a life.

Here is a story of a young graduate Arthur Basalirwa, who when to social media on Wednesday, 20, and shared his last message. Apparently, he knew that people would judge him as a coward! it’s sad to die knowing people will judge you even when you take the last worst option to end the pain.

“Go ahead and call me a coward and say I’m not strong, Because I’m not like you,” goes the first stanza of the song I’m sorry by Joyner Lucas. This was Arthur Basalirwa’s last message to his followers on Facebook at 1.26 pm on Wednesday.

Two hours later at 3.06pm, Basalirwa, a former student of Makerere University Business School posted a screenshot from a WhatsApp chat, this time dedicated to a one ‘D” and it read: “Hi D. You will always ask yourself if you had sent me a more meaningful text. These are your last words to me. Goodbye D.”

The WhatsApp chat screenshot he shared, showed that Basalirwa had a rough breakup with his girlfriend. His friends say that he was planning his marriage, after visiting his fiance’s parents at a traditional Kukyala ceremony.

Hours before that, Basalirwa posted to his Whatsapp a status note saying; “I am sorry but it’s too late, I’m sorry, too much weighing on me I don’t wanna live to see another day.”

Basalirwa shared a screenshot of messages he had received from his fiancee and captioned emotional message to his one and only D.

Hi D. 
You will always ask yourself if you had sent me a more meaningful text. These are your last words to me. Goodbye D.” The deceased captioned the screenshot that had “D” swearing at Basalirwa and telling him to delete her number. “F*ck you…Just F*cking block me and never text me. Delete our chats and my number. Bye.” read the text messages

However, these cries for help went unnoticed, with only a simple ‘bambi’ as a comment from one of his friends, until hours later when others learnt about his sudden death.

It is however not yet clear how Basalirwa ended his life, but friends have taken to Facebook to pay tribute to him.
