Defiant Osotsi Reveals Why Mudavadi Expelled Him From The Party

The expelled member of Amani National Congress has raised questions and reason why his party arrived at the decision of expunging him out of the party.

Mudavadi-led party, on Tuesday, expelled Godfrey Osotsi in what they termed as misappropriation of party funds amounting to 56 million.

The decision to expel Osotsi is linked to an audit of the party’s funds during the last polls that revealed that Sh56 million could not be accounted for.

“Pursuant to the Article 50 and having exhaustively deliberated over the matters before it, the Disciplinary Committee has Decided that Hon Godfrey Osotsi be hereby expelled forthwith from the membership of ANC party.

“He is no longer a member of this party and ceases to enjoy the privileges attendant to being a member of the party, or to act on behalf of the party in anyway whatsoever,” read a press release sent to newsrooms.

However, on Wednesday, Mr Osotsi had accused the party for political witch-hunt claiming that the decision of the ANC party was politically influenced.

Osotsi remain in history to be in opposition of his party leader’s stand especially after Mudavadi, who was one of NASA co-principles skipped the famous Raila Odinga swearing in ceremony on January 2018.

Since then, Osotsi have regarded his party leader as coward and a traitor, a statement that caused a big drift between the two.

The current expulsion from ANC has been speculated by many as a punishment for Osotsi defiance.

Amani National Congress nominated Osotsi after the 2017 general elections, since he has been the party’s General Secretary.
