”All My Guys are ballers” Bill Gates joins ‘centibillionaires club’ as net worth hits USD 100 billion

American business magnate, investor, author, philanthropist, and humanitarian best known as the principal founder of Microsoft Corporation, William Henry Gates III  has joined Jeff Bezos in one of the most exclusive ‘clubs’ in the world – the centibillionaires club.

As the name suggests, the club is exclusively for people with net worths higher than USD 100 billion (Ksh.10 Trillion); something that Bill Gates has achieved this week, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index.

While this is an unimaginable amount for most of us, Gates is actually trailing behind Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, Bezos is currently worth a staggering USD148 billion (Sh14.91 trillion).

The third-richest person in the world is Bernard Arnault, a French business magnate and art collector, who is worth USD 86.2 billion (Sh8.620 Trillion).

However, it’s unlikely that Gates will stay in the centibillionaires club for long.

The Microsoft founder regularly donates to charity and has previously donated more than $30 billion to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

But he is not alone as Jeff Bezos battles a divorce with his wife after he alllegedly cheated on her.
