Senegalese fans caught the attention of Sadio Mané after holding a banner that called for Kalidou Koulibaly to move to Manchester United.
The 26-year-old Liverpool star is currently on international duty with the Senegal national side ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, but he couldn’t stop himself when he saw supporters holding the banner.
Koulibaly, arguably one of the best defenders in the world, was heavily linked with United and it was believed that the Red Devils would try to sign the Napoli star during the January transfer window.
In fact, Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed in December that the Italian club had rejected a £95m offer from the Premier League side for the 27-year-old Senegalese centre-back.
“[José] Mourinho wanted him, we rejected £95 million,” he told the press at an event hosted by Corriere del Mezzogiorno.
“But now it’s impossible that he leaves Napoli.”
