President Uhuru Kenyatta has passed his message of condolence to cyclone hit Southern African countries Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
“Kenya stands with you and your people as you mourn and recover from the destruction,” the president said.
The cylone is said to have caused massive destruction and loss of lives as the Guardian reports that, “More than 1,000 people are feared dead in Mozambique.”
“The destruction is left by Idai in the port city of Beira, Mozambique,” the report read, “People are also missing in neighbouring Zimbabwe.”
Zimbabwe President on his part expressed gratitude for the support provided to victims of the cyclone.
