Migori County police are investigating an incident where a middle-aged man (30) died in a lodging few hours after booking into a lodging facility with his lover.
Collins Odhiambo died Wednesday 2am while receiving treatment at Rongo Sub-County Hospital.
According to Odhiambo’s lover, Donnah Anyango, the 30-year-old “developed breathing complications shortly after making love” at Maserena Bar and Lodging in Rongo Town.
Rongo OCPD Peter Kirui confirmed the incident, saying Anyango, 27, reported the incident at Kamagambo Police Station early Wednesday.
Kirui says a postmortem examination will establish the cause of Odhiambo’s death.
“Anyango is now helping the police with investigations,” said Kirui.
The deceased was moved to Rosewood mortuary in Rongo.
