Chelsea’sOlivier Giroud Threatens Maurizio Sarri With Transfer Request After ONE Thing

Chelsea have had a turbulent season in Sarri’s debut year in charge despite a strong start, which has since flittered away.

They find themselves in a struggle to finish in the top four, with recent results indicating that they will lose out to Arsenal and Manchester United.

They have picked up just one point from their last two games – the latest being a 2-0 defeat to Everton.

It leaves Sarri clinging onto his job but he may not be the only one facing a Stamford Bridge exit this summer.

Giroud has been in fine form in the Europa League but has started just once in 16 Premier League matches.

The signing of Gonzalo Higuain has kept him on the bench despite the departure of Alvaro Morata.

But he is the top scorer in the Europa League, netting nine – one ahead of Munas Dabbur of RB Salzburg and Sevilla’s Wissam Ben Yedder.

And the Frenchman has told Sarri he will LEAVE for France if the situation does not change for him in the league.

Giroud said: “Of course it is frustrating. Today, I feel like there is no competition since January.

“It is like that, I know that I will only play in the Europa League and I will try to do everything I can to be as effective and decisive as possible for the team.”

The former Arsenal forward has been linked with a move back to Ligue 1, with Marseille among the leading clubs.

And the World Cup winner has admitted he does not mind dropping a level in the search for first-team football.

“The future could be hectic this summer,” he added.

“I am not scared of going down a level to have more playing time. It could be that I end my career in France.”
