Dr Donald Cline, a fertility specialist, artificially inseminated 48 women with his gametes repeatedly without notifying any of them.
The rogue doctor from the US was accused of using his sperm to sire children instead of using specimen provided by donors.
According to DailyMail, 33-year-old Heather Woock, who happens to be one of the doctors illegitimate children, found out the identity of her real dad after reading a report by The Atlantic. According to Heather, a stranger constantly contacted her claiming they were siblings but she refused to believe anything she heard.
What raised an alarm was when the lady’s alleged sibling mentioned the name of Cline who happened to be the fertility doctor Heather’s mum saw when she wanted to get pregnant. Heather’s folks were in the dark on who donated the sperm for insemination back when they were trying to get a baby.
The doctor’s daughter had earlier taken a DNA test and sent it to Ancestry.com, a website that helps determine people’s genealogy in a bid to discover her real father. Her half siblings who were also a product of Cline’s antics then used the results of Heather’s test to track her down via Facebook after which most of them tried to contact her.
The Cline flock has been keeping tabs on each other through a Facebook group as they brace themselves to discover more of their siblings during the holiday season.
