15 Germany Travel Agents have committed to marketing Mombasa as a tourist destination.
This comes after the welcome cocktail for travel agents from Germany last evening at the Severin Sea Lodge, Mombasa.

The event was attended by Mombasa County Tourism Chief Officer Mr. Innocent Mugabe who was representing Hon. Fawz Rashid -CECM Department of Trade, Tourism & Investment.
The travel agents were flown in by the TUI Group for a familiarization and hotels inspections tour.
The agents expressed their satisfaction with the Mombasa tourism product and promised to aggressively market Destination Mombasa.

TUI GROUP has embarked on concerted efforts to bring back charter flights to Mombasa.
The group was accompanied by Ms Mary Wanginda, Mombasa representative of TUI Group .
The travel agents will also visit Tsavo West national park using the SGR to Mtito Andei for a Bush experience.

Mombasa’s strategic location allows tourists to easily combine the Beach and Bush experience giving our destination a competitive advantage.
The County Government of Mombasa noted that they shall use feedback from the group to improve their product offering.
Mombasa County’s department of Trade, Tourism & Investment also assured that they will continue to work closely with the private sector in supporting their initiatives in tourism development.
