Every player, even the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, go through rough patches where it just doesn’t fall for them. Admittedly, with those top, top players it happens less often, but at the moment that’s the kind of spell that Mo Salah is suffering through, and the Reds were far from happy with the Egyptian yesterday afternoon.

Liverpool fans on Twitter haven’t held back in their Salah assessments

The winger has been one of the best signings that the Premier League has ever seen considering how he’s taken to being a goal scorer and a play maker in this Liverpool side inside just his first two seasons. However, for the first time, we’re seeing the 26-year-old struggle with form issues in his career at Anfield. The fact that he failed to score yesterday took his goal-drought to five games in the league, and the fans are starting to get agitated.

That five-game drought is made to sound worse when you consider that last season’s golden boot winner has scored just once in his last eight Premier League game. In the eight games before this drought, Salah netted six times and the fans really want that version of Mo back. If anything, having the ex-Chelsea man playing for them in this vein of form is only hindering their play, and his selfishness on the ball and inability to make things happen very nearly cost the Kopites yesterday at Craven Cottage.
