Likoni Member of Parliament Mishi Mboko has attacked Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen for dragging Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s names into the dams scandal.
Speaking to the press on Sunday at Mama Ngina Drive in Mombasa, Mboko demanded that the senator should allow relevant entities to investigate those behind the alleged corruption.
“Let the investigations into the scandal take their course. Let it be probed and those behind the scandal will be known and the truth shall prevail,” she said.
The vocal MP reminded Senator Murkomen about how other leaders from different regions across the nation have handled allegations touching on their sons and daughters.
She said that Coast people had their son Muhammad Swazuri being linked to corruption but the Mijikenda never politicised his situation.
Mishi said that the same response was witnessed from Luo leaders after former Nairobi County Governor Evans Kidero was summoned for alleged corruption.
She encouraged him to ape the Agikuyu and Luhya who have avoided politicising cases involving CS Eugene Wamalwa, Atanus Maina and CS Mwangi Kiunjuri.
The MP encouraged Senator Murkomen to fight with her and other leaders within his league and leave President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga alone.
