It’s hard to see an established artist in the Kenyan music scene working on several collabos with upcoming artists in a span of a few months.

But not Kenya long lasting group The Kansoul have defined all odds and are extending a hand by naturing young upcoming talented artists.

The trio, which consists of Madtraxx, Mejja and Kid Kora, has followed up its vibrant project featuring rap group Ethics, with another one dubbed ‘Na Iwake’ which features newbies Ochungulo Family.

Ochungulo Family are the set of young guys best known for song such as “Bora Uhai” and “Kirimino”, and next to Ethic, are proving to be the next generation of artists who will take over the Kenyan industry music scene.

Towards the end of last year, The Kansoul teamed up with Ethic for “Position” which was a straight banger. It seems it gave them the idea of working with other younger artists who have similar music style.

Na iwake is a famous Kenyan slang meaning light it up and NellyTheGoon, Benzema and Dmore, who make up Ochungulo Family, said the song was inspired by the daily lifestyle of a Kenyan young man.
