Trump says US ready to help New Zealand shooting victims

United States of America has condemned the New Zealand massacre where scores died after a “heavily armed shooter” entered two New Zealand mosques and killed 49 people during Friday prayers.

“Three people are in custody — one of whom was charged with murder — after at least one heavily-armed shooter mowed down Muslim worshippers at Friday prayer, massacring 49 people in two New Zealand mosques while broadcasting a horrific live stream of the terror attack,” reports Fox News.

“A 28-year-old Australian-born citizen was in custody after claiming responsibility for the attacks in Christchurch and allegedly posting a white nationalist manifesto immediately before the murder spree,” adds the article.

US president Donald Trump

“My warmest sympathy and best wishes goes out to the people of New Zealand after the horrible massacre in the Mosques. 49 innocent people have so senselessly died, with so many more seriously injured. The U.S. stands by New Zealand for anything we can do. God bless all!” tweeted Trump.

President Trump has also expressed US support to the affected nation.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison described the individual as “an extremist, right-wing, violent terrorist.”
